The Footbike World Championship 2022 will take place from 14th to 17th of July in Põlva, Estonia. A four-day programme will offer a lot of quality time with fellow footbikers including three days of intensive racing on the streets of Põlva and on freshly renovated stadium.
Põlva is a small town (about 5500 inhabitants)located in Southern-Estonia, 230 kilometres from the capital of Estonia – Tallinn. Low density of Põlva county population, beautiful landscape and surrounding untouched nature with lots of hiking trails gives an unlimited opportunities for outside acitivies which make people of Põlva very active. Freshly renovated stadium and well-conditioned town streets with modern central square are perfect for hosting footbike events as well.
You are very welcome to arrive earlier and stay longer in order to enjoy sightseeing in and around Põlva but the most interesting and intensive days will be 14th to 17th of July.
The event starts with traditional Pasta Party on 14th of July which will get all racers in the right mood for following days full of racing.
The most intensive racing day will be Friday the 15th which starts at 12pm on stadium where the sprint competition will be held. The stadium is covered with tartan track which makes racing more challenging but more interesting as well. In the evening, at 18pm the relay will be held on the central square and surrounding streets.
On Saturday afternoon the criterium race (15km) will take place on the streets of Põlva. Further details and the exact start time will be announced soon.
Three days of merciless racing will end on Sunday when the marathon distance starting at 11am will be held.
